How to Fix Something Went Wrong When Trying to Use Squarespace


Some Squarespace users are complaining that they are facing “something went wrong when trying to use Squarespace” error on their Windows PC. If you are one of them, then go through the instructions mentioned below.


Here’s how to fix something went wrong when trying to use Squarespace
·       Go through the antivirus software on the Windows computer

1.    Click twice on the antivirus symbol.
2.    It is located next to the Windows clock.
3.    It will open the antivirus.
4.    Go to the Protection panel menu.
5.    In the Settings option.
6.    Press on the Whitelist option.
7.    Go to a new window.
8.    Press on the Add option.
9.    Start copying the squarespace.com URL.
10.  Start adding the URL into the menu list.
11.   Press on the Save option.
12.   Exit from the window.
13.   You need to check whether something went wrong when trying to use Squarespace is fixed or not.

·       Turn off installed extensions from the Google Chrome browser

1.    Press on the three dots symbol.
2.    It is located at the upper right-hand side of the browsing application window.
3.    Move the mouse above the More tools button.
4.    Choose the Extensions option.
5.    After opening the extensions window, disable all the options.
6.    This procedure will help you to deactivate each add-on.
7.    Start the default browsing application again.
8.    Go to the Squarespace once again.
9.    You need to check whether you have solved the problem on your Windows PC.

·       Turn off installed extensions from the Mozilla Firefox

1.    Press on the three stripes option.
2.    Choose the Add-ons option.
3.    Click on the Extensions or Themes option.
4.    Press on the Disable option.
5.    This procedure will help you to place the add-ons in the menu list.
6.    Start the browsing application again.
7.    Check if you have solved this problem or not.

·       Using CCleaner to remove cache and cookies for the default browser which is causing this error

1.    Go to the CCleaner application.
2.    Otherwise, download CCleaner app on the computer.
3.    Choose the Custom Clean option.
4.    It is located at the right corner of the menu list.
5.    Go through both the Windows and Applications option.
6.    Check mark the boxes are given near to the Internet Cache and Cookies option for every browsing application.
7.    Press on the Analyze option.
8.    Let the procedure to finish.
9.    Go through the menu list.
10.  In case everything is working fine, then press on the Run Cleaner option.
