Marvel is Now Looking to Move on from Chadwick Boseman Setback

A new report has suggested how Marvel will achieve the impossible task of replacing Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther 2.

We all knew that at some point, Marvel had to think about finding a new T’Challa after the death of extraordinarily talented Chadwick Boseman.

Now, this new rumor has emerged from the Youtuber Grace Randolph who has suggested that Marvel might use a digital double for Chadwick Boseman, which might not do the same job as the late actor would have done. Still, it certainly will not make fans sad who might not have accepted other actors’ introduction as Black Panther.

Grace Randolph, who became an internet sensation because of her trailer reaction videos, recently wrote on her Twitter handle that she has heard some whispers that the comic studio giant is now looking to use technology to bring Chadwick Boseman back to life.

She then went on to say that Chadwick Boseman’s character would die very soon in the film, possibly in a battle, and his sister Shuri will be the franchise’s new Black Panther.

It is imperative to remind ourselves that Grace Randolph is not the first to suggest that Marvel is thinking about using life-like digital double. The rumors identical to this one had surfaced last month as well. Almost days after his death, many Black Panther fans on Reddit debated whether Marvel could use CGI to bring Chadwick Boseman back to life (at least on-screen wise).

A reliable Hollywood sensationalist Daniel Richtman had reported a similar story, and the same was reported by Inside the Magic website. According to the report published by him, he said that he had heard that Marvel might certainly go the Carrie Fisher way and use CGI on a stunt double to have Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther 2.

One thing we can know for sure is the fact that the upcoming film would certainly put T’Challa’s Black Panther character in peace with respect.

As far as Shuri is concerned, her becoming a Black Panther is in accordance with the comic. T’Challa’s sister had become a Black Panther in the run Black Panther #5, which came out in 2009.

An event called the Dark Reign had forced Shuri to search for Panther God after T’Challa gets thrown into a coma by Dr. Doom after he had refused to join forces with him, which included other Marvel villains like Norman Osborn, Namor, Emma Frost, Thor’s brother Loki, and The Hood.

Things did not go too well for her as the Panther God had rejected Shuri’s claim to be the next Black Panther because of her hubris. However, God did not take her life.

Then, when Morlun launched an attack on Wakanda, Shuri wore the Black Panther suit and took it upon herself to save her brother and the civilians. Seeing her will, and because she was on the face of imminent death, the Panther God granted her all the powers of the Black Panther.

Black Panther 2 has a slotted release date in 2022, but that might change because of the delays in 2020.
