Who Would Win if Edward Elric Form Brotherhood and Stain from My Hero Academia Were to Fight?
Fullmetal Alchemist and My Hero Academia are some of the most popular Shonen series with a very different power system. My Hero Academia has Quirks while Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has alchemy. Both series have several great characters that have become fan-favorites over the years. Despite being a relatively old series, Brotherhood continues to have a huge influence on the anime industry. My Hero Academia has become popular only in the last four years and it seems to have a promising future. Many fans believe that it might be the next big thing after Bleach and Naruto.
Although the worlds of My Hero Academia and Brotherhood are very different if the characters were to face each other the fight will undoubtedly be very interesting. It can be made even more interesting if a protagonist has to face a random villain. For such a confrontation Stain from My Hero Academia and Edward Elric from Brotherhood would be perfect. Let’s look at how the fight between those two will turn out.
Stain: Powers and Skills
Although Stain has a powerful Quirk called Bloodcurdle, he has trained himself so much for years that he can attack without warning. He is a perfect assassin, who is skilled enough to take out his enemies with ease. His astonishing speed can easily take down most heroes. Even the protagonist of My Hero Academia struggled to keep up with the villain when they fought. Izuku was able to defeat him only because he had Shoto fighting alongside him. Stain’s agility and quick attacks make him a dangerous adversary for anyone. He can hide from his enemies as long as he likes and easily take them down when they are alone.
Stain has a jagged katana that can be used to collect blood samples and as a sword, in combat. He also has several knives for this purpose. Once Stain ingests the blood of his victims after collecting it, they can be paralyzed. The duration of the paralysis varies according to different blood groups. Once his victims are paralyzed Stain can take them out easily, long before the effects of his Quirk start wearing off. So, Stain is a dangerous enemy who should never be taken lightly.
Edward Elric: Power and Abilities
Edward Elric lost his right arm and left leg when he attempted human transmutation to revive his mother. His lost body parts were then replaced by high-grade automail versions that gave him several surprising tricks up his sleeve that often surprised some of his enemies. Since he has seen the Truth, all Ed needs to do is clap his hands to do alchemy, while other alchemists require transmutation circles. Not just alchemy, Ed is very skilled in advanced martial arts techniques. His agility and flexibility can be critical in a fight.
Using his alchemy, Edward can reshape his high-grade automail version of the arm in order to use it as a blade to slash his enemies. When he pairs his alchemy with advanced martial arts, he becomes a dangerous fighter who can take down tough opponents with relative ease.
Who Will Win?
Stain will fight like he always does and use the shadows in an urban battlefield to attack Edward and draw his blood. However, he would be surprised to find out how quick Edward is, as the alchemist would use his automail to block all the attacks. Stain will continue attacking Ed in a close-range fight but Ed will persist and block all of his attempts to draw and collect blood. Ed might want to use his alchemy but he will realize that Stain is just as quick and agile in evading his attacks. Stain will change his tactics and hide in the shadows once he notices that his attacks are not having the desired effect. He will retreat to the shadows and attack Ed’s left arm and even if Ed uses alchemy to kick up a lot of debris and dust, but it won’t be enough to stop Stain who needs just one successful attack to draw his blood. Once he has done that, Stain will paralyze Ed and finish him.
