Tweet Reaction Picker, New Privacy Features Are Coming Soon on Twitter

Twitter is the number 1 social network in Japan. Having a 70 percent male user base with only 30 percent female users. While 59 percent of users find news regularly from Twitter.

Twitter is having a huge advertising audience which is 353 million.

90 percent of the U.S. population don’t use Twitter yet they are familiar with it.

These stats clearly show that Twitter is rising and raising the bar of social media with its new and innovative feature that will give the user a better microblogging experience. Now, Twitter came up with new features that will give users more options to express themselves and feel more secure in the digital world.

Twitter is working on a tweet reaction picker that will allow users to react with the selection of emojis.

Tweet reactions have been tested for some time now and will act like Facebook’s emoji reactions. It is not clear at the moment when this feature will be rolled out to the public. Its lava, Twitter is also testing new privacy features that will keep you away from unwanted people and posts.

These features are currently in the early stages and the team is looking for feedback on Twitter.

Starting with tweet reactions, reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong shared a screenshot on Twitter showing a reaction picker with various emojis for selection.

It has five emoji shows at once and choosing one shows what it represents. Wong also shared five reactions last month, which will allow users to include ‘likes,’ ‘cheer,’ ‘hmm,’ ‘sad,’ and ‘haha’ depicted by their respective animated emojis.

Emojis for ‘Hmm’ and ‘Haha’ reactions are the ones users will be familiar with, but the other three are just ‘heart’ suggesting that they are placeholders for now.

Users to get new privacy controls

Earlier this month, Wong noticed that Twitter was testing a tweet reaction summary feature that would show the total number of reactions on a tweet before various reactions.

In addition, Dominic Camosi, a privacy engineer on Twitter, posted a series of tweets on June 15 talking about new privacy features that the social media giant is

working on. This feature allows users to ‘unmentioned themselves’ with a tweet where they have been mentioned directly.

The Unmention yourself option, seen on a tweet by Camozzi, is present on the Three Dot menu next to a tweet that allows users to untag themselves with a tweet or conversation, and it will remove a link to their profile from that tweet.

Prevent yourself from mention

In addition, another feature shared by Camozzi shows a special notification that shows when someone doesn’t tag or mention you directly. If you ‘don’t mention yourself,’ the tweet eraser won’t be able to mention you again. There is also a feature that will prevent some accounts or all accounts from being mentioned for one day, three days, or seven days. Twitter is adding many useful updates and features in the app, as the Twitter community is rising, the policy and parameters for users are also getting better. Fake news spreading is also happening with the help of social media, and Twitter came up with a solution for that also. Now, if the tweet is not original and is fabricated so that it can be further misused, that’s not going to happen easily, as the tweet will be marked as a manipulative tweet.
