By using MS Excel
  1. Firstly, start workbook that has the protected sheet in MS Excel. This shall be done by doing a double click on the file on the system.

Upload to Google Sheets

  • Then, press +New. It shall be towards the above at the left-hand side of the screen.

  • Then, double-click Excel file in Google Drive of yours. You need to move downwards for searching it most probably. This shall open a file preview.
  • After that press Open with menu-located at the above of the preview. Look that a menu shall get expanded.
  • Next, press on Google Sheets.
  • Download the file to the system one more time. If you wish to continue to work on the MS Excel file instead of Google Sheets, you will be able to download the recently-unprotected version of the workbook by going through the given below steps:
  • Firstly, press File menu. It shall be towards the above at the left-hand side corner of the sheet.
  • Then, press on Download As.
  • After that, press on MS Excel (.xlsx).
  • Next, choose a folder for saving the file.
  • Lastly, press on Save for downloading the file.
